The dream project of a opening girls degree college in1997 in Gola gokaran nath was of Sardar Gurucharan Singh ji a personality with strong will power , a person who is always energetic , who respect and honor the builders of Nation -The teacher .
Thereafter, Kanpur University gave green signal in December 1997. The college for girls was thus established on 23 December 1997 with undergraduate programme in English, Hindi literature, Economics, Sociology, Home Science and Sanskrit subject.
From 1997-2005 the college had temporary affiliation. The college use to take admission on first come first get basis. In 2006 college achieved its first goal i.e got permanent affiliation, in the year 2007 college was included in the list of college prepared under section 2f of UGC act 1956 , then in 2009 college applied for post graduate in Home science and Sociology and again got third achievement of temporary affiliation for stating PG classes. . In 2011 college was enrolled in section 12B of U.G.C. and got permanent affiliation for conducting PG classes.
The journey from1997 to 2011 was full of challenges. But by the grace of almighty , the cooperation of management , the faith of public , the hard work and labour of staff , college could make its place among the top college of the district.
This year i. e. 2012 college had to change its slogan of first come, first get. This year admissions were done on merit basis both in graduate level and Postgraduate level.
